The Venezuelans Telasco Segovia and Jefferson Savarino made themselves felt in the second round of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, being fundamental players in the victory of their respective clubs.
Inter Miami CF's Segovia scored a great goal against Porto in the 47th minute, when 'Las Garzas' were losing 1-0.
The Venezuelan achieved the tie with a powerful shot in the European club's goal, to put the score 1-1. While Lionel Messi sealed the victory with an impressive free kick.
The Segovia club is in second place in the Group A standings with 4 points, the same amount as the first one occupied by Palmeiras, who will be their rival next Monday, June 23. With one point, both teams would be in the round of 16 of the tournament.
For his part, Jefferson Savarino from Botafogo made an assist with an impeccable filtered pass to get the goal of the victory over PSG 1-0.
The reigning champion of the Copa Libertadores beat the reigning monarch of the UEFA Champions League and reached 6 points to lead Group B, however he must at least tie with Atlético de Madrid to secure his move to the next phase.
