The fifth edition of the Caracas Poetry
March will be held next Sunday, May 17, in
homage to the Venezuelan writer, poet and comedian Aquiles Nazoa, regarding the 106th anniversary
of his birth, the writer José Leonardo Riera reported in statements
to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
The cultural
activity, which will take place under the motto “I believe in the spell of
music”, will bring together poets, cultors, puppeteers, dancers and dancers,
on a journey that seeks to exalt the country's artistic and literary heritage, as
well as to frame the celebration of the National Poetry Day and the sixth anniversary of the Achilles Nazoa Movement, La Iguana TV reviews.
The
meeting is scheduled to start at 2:00 in the afternoon from the Simón Rodríguez House of
the First Letters and will end in the Plaza de los Poetas, at the
height of the National Pantheon, in the center of Caracas.
The day is part of the activities organized around the figure of Achiles Nazoa, considered one of the most representative voices of Venezuelan literature and humor.
