This Wednesday, the Port of La Zorra received fishing boats from Ocumare de la Costa and the Central Coast, loaded with supplies destined for communities affected by the earthquakes of June 24.
The mobilization took place through the activation of the Humanitarian Maritime Corridor, articulated between the Bolivarian Government and the Council of Fishermen, Aquaculturists and Aquaculturists (CONPPA).
The operation made it possible to set up a continuous maritime channel for the transfer of non-perishable food, marine proteins, drinking water, first aid medicines and support materials, provided by marine producers who arranged their boats for this supply route.
The fishing sector reaffirmed its social commitment through this coordinated action, which shows a capacity for response and community organization in times of contingency.
Shipping operations will remain active for the next few days, with the objective of ensuring a constant flow of assistance to the affected sectors of the Central Coast.
