The ranks of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in Mérida unanimously agreed to run for President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, for the next presidential elections.

This was announced by the political liaison of the PSUV in Mérida, Jehyson Guzmán, who highlighted that the document that resulted from this great day of debate and nomination is backed by more than 5,400 street chiefs, 2,700 communities, 545 Bolivar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCH), the 86 parish acts, the 23 minutes of the municipal teams and that of the state's political team.

He also assured that the red awning has always been next to the town. “Not only in times of elections, we have a presence in all our streets, communities, accompanying the people in solving problems, vicissitudes and in the elaboration and execution of projects,” he said, according to information from the PSUV.
