The Bolivarian Government continues to bring scientific knowledge to children in temporary camps

The National Center for Development and Research in Telecommunications Foundation (CENDIT) continues to be deployed in the temporary camps set up by the Bolivarian State in Caracas to house families affected by the double earthquake of last June 24, in order to provide psychoemotional support with a pedagogical approach to children and young people.

According to a press release, the institution's Citizens' Service Office (OAC) team established direct contact with the logistics staff of the Guayana Esequiba Cultural and Sports Complex, located in the San Bernardino parish, and the Andrés Bello Educational Complex, in the parish of La Candelaria, where fun and dynamic activities were carried out that allowed them to learn about the curiosities of magnetism through fun.

Within the strategies, terms such as the compass, magnetic field, magnet functions, and others were taught. Beyond technical and scientific training, these days represent a close and comprehensive support designed to mitigate the effects of post-traumatic stress on children and young people in the face of the impact of the seismic event.

Pierina Quintero, head of the Cendit OAC, said that these visits allowed them to realize that each transitory camp has a different routine depending on the space in which it is located; therefore, care for children and young people through the activities of the National Scientific Seed Program will depend and will be adapted to those particular conditions and characteristics, where each camp is located and the amount of population they have.

Through this approach, pedagogy and dissemination work as engines to awaken the scientific vocation at an early age and as fundamental tools of human sensitivity.
