The Bolivarian Government has cared for more than 400 pets after a double earthquake in La Guaira

More than 60 workers and volunteers from the Nevado Mission are still deployed in La Guaira to provide veterinary and comprehensive care to pets in communities affected by the double earthquake.
Angelimar Luis, director of Animal Protection of the regional government, reported that to date, more than 400 animals have been treated, including dogs, cats, morrocoyes and other species that were injured, disoriented or displaced.
He also stressed that the operation has had the support of delegations from various states of the country, who joined efforts to strengthen response capacity in the territory.
Durante approaches, multidisciplinary teams carry out rescue tasks, emergency veterinary evaluation, application of treatments, food supply and the provision of safe spaces for the temporary protection of specimens.
