The Bolivarian Government deployed the National Identity Plan, in Delta Amacuro state, where it served 21 communities of the indigenous Warao and Arawako ethnic groups, settled in the Esequibo territory and in the Antonio Díaz municipality of this entity, said Alexis Valenzuela, regional director of the Ministry of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples (MPPPI).

This ministerial body, reported on the account of the social network Instagram, that the operation had already addressed the indigenous localities of the municipalities of Tucupita and Pedernales; later it moved to the Venezuelan Essequibo, where it granted identity to the inhabitants of five communities.

In total, it was possible to provide services to 21 Warao communities, five localities are part of the Essequibo and live there the Arawako indigenous people, including: Punta Barima, Boca de Cuyubini, San José de Amacuro, Wausa and nearby inhabitants of Anacoco Island.

In the case of Delta Amacuro state, the parish served was Aniceto Lugo in the Antonio Díaz municipality, where 16 communities were served.

The Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME), the Government of Delta Amacuro, mayor of Antonio Díaz and the Ministry of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples participated in this day.
