The Bolivarian Government incorporated 450 megawatts in the Thermocarabobo Thermoelectric Plant

The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) achieved the addition of a third unit to generate an additional 150 MW in the Termocarabobo Thermoelectric Plant, for a total of 450 MW in the electrical system.

In a publication on its Instagram account, CORPOELEC, reported that this electricity supply will be distributed at the Planta Centro and La Arenosa substations, which will make it possible to strengthen the service in the central and central-western region of Venezuela, specifically in the states of Zulia, Lara, Falcón, Yaracuy and Carabobo.

The development of this action involved the participation of qualified personnel who carried out high-precision maneuvers, thus achieving the repair of the bushings of the elevator transformers of three generation machines, fundamental components consisting of custom-made porcelain pieces.

In addition, under strict safety protocols and supervised by specialists in Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (ASHO), Protection and Prevention (P&P), the Industrial Emergency Brigade and the National Dispatch Center (CND), start-up tests began on the third 150 MW step-up transformer, thus reaching 450 MW of thermoelectric generation.
