The town of Santa Rosa in the state of Lara, the birthplace of the Divine Shepherdess, is being renovated in its urban layout and with the painting of large scale murals for its day on January 14, the date on which the largest procession in the country takes place.
The mayor of the Iribarren municipality, Yanys Agüero, reported the execution of road infrastructure works and the rehabilitation of 203 facades of houses in the town of Santa Rosa, whose architectural structure retains a colonial-style appearance, next to Plaza Bolívar and the arch at the main entrance.
Agüero explained that on December 15th, the Ciudad Mural festival began, which has been held in nineteen cities in more than a dozen states in the country. He explained that the artistic day is part of the schedule of works prior to the 168th procession of the Virgin, also known as “The Shepherdess of Souls”, and in its twentieth edition on January 14, it pays Marian homage to faith, love and family.
