The Bolivarian Government provided different equipment and supplies to operate the operating room of the Rafael Rangel type 1 hospital, in the Miranda municipality (Timotes) of the state of Mérida.

According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias (UN), the equipment consists of an anaesthesia machine, a specialized surgical bed, multiparameter monitors, a defibrillator and more than 15,000 units of medical supplies.

In this regard, the governor of the entity, Arnaldo Sánchez, stressed that the activation of this operating room will benefit patients who come from the villages of La Venta, Piñango, Cachopo, among others, as well as patients from the state of Trujillo, to guarantee quality and free public health.

He also said that parallel infrastructure and rehabilitation work is being carried out in three important areas of the Instituto Autonomo Hospital Universitario de los Andes, as well as at the Sor Juan Inés de La Cruz Hospital.
