The Bolivarian Government of Zulia has placed 250,000 tons of asphalt

A total of 250,000 tons of hot asphalt were placed in the state of Zulia between the months of June and October 2025, according to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias (UN).

According to the publication, the information was released by Governor Luis Caldera during the reopening of the Hugo Chávez Frías road corridor, which connects the municipality of La Cañada de Urdaneta with Maracaibo.

It was also known that the goal before the end of the year is to place another 50,000 tons to close in 300,000 tons placed in urban streets and avenues, main road corridors and interconnecting roads between municipalities and with other neighboring states of Zulia.

Caldera explained that 36 work fronts are active and starting this Monday, the Asphalt Finishing Plan will be implemented, adding 11 additional work fronts for a total of 47 to ensure that the goal is met by the end of the year.
