The Bolivarian Government supervised the immunization plan against yellow fever in Lara

The governor of the state of Lara, Luis Reyes Reyes, announced the strengthening of health strategies in the state after the visit of the Deputy Minister of Integral Health, Rosalbina Hurtado, who is following a work agenda focused on supervising healthcare centers and meetings with local health management.

From the Moyetones community, Reyes Reyes said that “we are committed to expanding immunization coverage, we know of the cases that motivated us to start a special immunization process against yellow fever, we took the opportunity to expand it and apply other immunizations.”

“We had initially placed 500 vaccination posts in the state two months ago, during Holy Week a great effort was made to expand the points, we have been successful in the epidemiological encirclement we have carried out against yellow fever. That can be seen by the results we have obtained,” he said.

The regional president stressed that the primary objective of this alliance is to expand immunization coverage, ensuring that the public health system has the necessary supplies and personnel to protect the population of Larense from various pathologies.

For her part, the Deputy Minister of Integral Health, Rosalbina Hurtado, oversaw the development of the immunization plan against yellow fever in Lara State, specifically in Barquisimeto.

“We are accompanying the health authorities, our governor, making some contributions,” he said regarding the yellow fever outbreak in several entities of the country.

He explained that the epidemiological fence is being complied with, recognizing that, until now, “we have been well accepted, people have attended to vaccinate and we are really getting an adequate response,” he said, adding that “the results are being obtained.”

Hurtado, together with the governor of Lara, Luis Reyes Reyes, visited the community of Moyetones in the Iribarren municipality, in Barquisimeto, one of the geographical points where the health strategy was focused.

The president of Larense expressed his willingness to expand the coverage of immunizations with other types of vaccines.
