The Bolivarian Government oversaw the infrastructure and organization of the 168th procession of the Virgin Divine Shepherdess, which will take place on January 14 .

The mayor of the Iribarren municipality in Lara state, Yanys Agüero, reported that, a few hours after the largest Marian procession in Venezuela, he supervised the recovery and beautification work in the capital of Larense.

He indicated that the comprehensive plan includes road improvements, restoration of squares, creation of artistic murals and deployment of lighting, according to a press release from the Mayor's Office of the Iribarren municipality.

He also stated that on January 14, the parishioners of Iribarren, from all over Venezuela and other countries, will come together to celebrate the 168th visit of the image of the Divine Shepherdess to the city of Barquisimeto.

He announced that this Monday there will be supervision at strategic points, such as the Barquisimeto-Cabudare Intercommunal, where the municipality is carrying out maintenance tasks for body letters, installing designs with artificial grass, ornamentation, placing LED lights and creating murals.

Agüero also inspected the works of painting boulders and road demarcation, tasks that will allow greater security and highlight the avenues that the procession will cross.

In that regard, the Mayor said that we have supervised these works, to continue building the city we deserve. “A municipality for prosperity; this is just the beginning of 2026; and what's coming is growth,” he said.
