The country's tolls remain free of charge during contingencies

The Ministry of People's Power for Transport reported that tolls are kept nationwide free of charge, following the contingency presented after the damage caused by recent seismic activities.

Through a press release from the ministerial portfolio, it became known that the measure, implemented immediately, includes all 75 stations in the country. “We are not charging, to allow humanitarian aid and the families of people who have suffered from this earthquake to reach their destinations without setbacks,” said Doanny Hernández, director general of the General Toll Office.

Hernández also emphasized that this action will be in effect while the nation returns to normality in the affected area, in order to maintain fluid mobilization between states, and ensure the safe movement of citizens.
