The first day of the FUTVE League Clausura Tournament ended with 5 winners

Between Tuesday 16 and Thursday 18 July, the seven matches corresponding to the first day of the 2024 Clausura Tournament of the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League) were played, where Carabobo FC, Zamora FC, Rayo Zuliano, Monagas SC and UCV FC, managed to score their first 3 points.

Zamora FC defeated Inter de Barinas 1-0, with a goal scored by Richard Figueroa in the 25th minute, at the La Carolina stadium of the Llanera entity.

At the Metropolitan Stadium in the city of Caballeros, the Andean classic was played, where Estudiantes de Mérida and Deportivo Táchira equaled 1-1. With a goal from Maurice Cova at 53′ penalty for the visit and from Elías Alderete at 90+5′ for the locals.

Meanwhile, the match played at the Olympic stadium in the capital city, between Deportivo La Guaira and Caracas FC also ended in a draw but they are goals.

At the La Carolina stadium, Portuguesa FC fell 1-2 to Rayo Zuliano, with goals from José Luis Ochoa at 8′ and Luis Paz at 90+1′, the goal of the discount was scored by Johan Moreno 45+2′ from penalty.

With that same result, Monagas SC defeated Metropolitanos FC at the UCV Olympic Stadium. For the visit, Heber García scored at 29′ and Tomás Rodríguez at 49′. Roger Manrique scored for the locals at 13′.

For its part, UCV FC beat Angostura FC 1-0, with a goal scored by Charlis Ortiz at 56′ at the Olympic Stadium in Caracas. While Carabobo FC beat Academia Puerto 2-1, the winning targets were scored by José Balza at 12′ and Gustavo González at 45+3′, the discount was achieved by Jesús Cantillo 90+1′, at the Misael Delgado stadium in Valencia
