The men's national baseball team was crowned undefeated (6-0) in the U23 Pan American Championship after defeating Peru 9 races by 1 and thus obtaining the only ticket to the World Cup in the 2026 category.

Venezuela, in the tournament that ended this Saturday in Lima, made use of the combined pitching of six pitchers who allowed only a couple of hits and a line in the seventh act.

The victory, according to a press release from the Sports Ministry, went to Sebastián Araque with 1.2 acts in which he allowed an unstoppable, gave two tickets and handed out four strikeouts.

The U23 World Cup will be played next in the cities of Managua, Masaya and León in Nicaragua, to which Panama, Puerto Rico and Cuba were already qualified.
