The National Council for Sovereignty and Peace has been installed

This Thursday, the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace was installed, an instance that brought together in Caracas spokespersons from the political, academic, religious, business, trade union, youth and social sectors to carry out the national debate on the defense of the homeland in unity.

The first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN/), Pedro Infante, stressed that the organization invites all institutional and civic capacities to be activated to safeguard the country's resources and the rights of the people, while respecting the Constitution and the principle of national dignity.

During his speech, Infante recalled that, on December 17, on the anniversary of the death of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, the President of the Republic Nicolás Madur o reiterated the constitutional articles that guide national defense in the face of external threats that seek to violate the country's self-determination, independence and peace.

The meeting is part of the ongoing work of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, whose objective is to consolidate the unity of all sectors in protecting the nation from imperial attacks.
