This Sunday, the national futsal team kicked off its participation in the CONMEBOL Copa América by beating Colombia 2-3 in its first match.
The quintet led by Robinson Romero rested during the first day of the tournament that started this Saturday, January 24, and then made their debut against the difficult Colombian national team at the Oscar Harrison stadium in Paraguay.
Vinotinto opened the score of the match through Saimond France in the 6th minute of the first half. Óscar Fernández put 1-2, taking advantage of an error in the Colombian defense in the 13th minute, to go to halftime with the minimum advantage.
In the second half, Colombia equalized the actions 2-2, thanks to Michael Gelvez's own goal scored by Tachirense. Greidelvid Terán scored the goal of going up 2-3; in the 11th minute of the second half, to give victory to the Vinotinto team.
With this result, Venezuela has its first three points of the tournament and will face the Chilean team this Monday, January 26 at 1:30pm local time.
