The Popular Consultorio Tipo (CPT) II Cacurí, located in the Alto Ventuari Parish of the Manapiare Municipality, in the state of Amazonas, received a significant supply of medical supplies to ensure care for indigenous populations living in remote areas that are difficult to access in the state.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, the endowment comprised 10,586 units of medicines and essential supplies, aimed at strengthening response capacity and providing direct health care to the inhabitants of the area.
This delivery will benefit the communities of the Sanema and Yekuana indigenous peoples, ensuring that they receive adequate medical care and the necessary treatments, without having to travel long distances.
It is important to note that both the coordinating doctor of the office and the health promoters, together with community leaders in the area, made an extraordinary effort, moving on foot with the supplies to reach the office.
