The Office of the Comptroller General repudiated U.S. military aggression and called on the international community to speak out

The Office of the Comptroller General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the National System of Fiscal Control repudiated, rejected and condemned the military aggression carried out by the United States government against the national territory.

In a statement, the armed incursion affecting various civilian and military objectives was repudiated and classified as a flagrant violation of International Law, the Charter of the United Nations and the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people.


The following is the full text of the statement:


The Office of the Comptroller General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the National System of Fiscal Control reject, repudiate, condemn and categorically denounce the criminal armed attack perpetrated by the government of the United States of America during the early morning of January 3, 2026, against civilian and military objectives in different cities of our country, in clear violation of International Law, the Charter of the United Nations, human rights, sovereignty and self-determination of the People of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

We demand that the United States government immediately reveal the whereabouts and physical integrity of the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro Moros and the First Combatant Cilia Flores de Maduro , who were kidnapped by the invading forces commanded by Mr. Donald Trump.

The Venezuelan people, in permanent mobilization and in perfect civic-military-police union, demand their rapid release in the streets and will remain alert and attentive to respond decisively to this unprecedented aggression in the history of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. We call on all international institutions to speak out against this vile and bloody armed attack.
