In an act full of symbolism and historical memory, the immense Soviet flag of Victory flies majestically at the top of Caracas, specifically on the Humboldt peak of Wuaraira Repano, said Jorge Arreaza, Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP.

Through the social network on Instagram, he highlighted that the flag is an emblematic symbol, which represents the victory against fascism in the Second World War and was raised in the Waraira Repano as a tribute to the millions of Soviet citizens who sacrificed their lives for the peace of humanity.

“Today, the friendship between Venezuela and Russia makes this more than symbolic act a reality, which honors those who, with their blood and suffering, prevented the worst and built a real alternative for society,” said Arreaza.

He explained that an estimated 27 million Soviet citizens gave their lives during the Second World War, a sacrifice that marked history and ensured a future of hope for generations to come.
