The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Saint Lucia inaugurated the Third Musical Training Workshop, organized by the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela.

According to a press release from the embassy, the training will be led by Borgan Ascanio, Francy Vázquez and Lauri Márquez, with more than 20, 30 and 40 years of experience, respectively, teaching the performance of string instruments: violin, viola and cello.

Ambassador Leiff Escalona thanked all the music teachers in Saint Lucia for their participation, together with their students, in this comprehensive training workshop.

He stressed that this initiative seeks to strengthen existing musical groups, while providing pedagogical tools to teachers to ensure the continuity of the academic musical training process.
The workshop will last two weeks and will offer practical training and mentoring by Venezuelan and Santa Lucense teachers. Its objective is to promote local talent, promote creativity and strengthen cultural ties between Saint Lucia and Venezuela. The program will conclude on Thursday, April 24, with a grand final concert at the National Cultural Center, at 5:00pm.
