The Venezuela Come+ Fish Plan was deployed in 36 communities in the Sucre municipality of Caracas, according to the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Processing and Distribution, José Gregorio Briceño.
According to the newspaper Última Noticias, the day benefited more than 11,000 families in the Los Frailes de Catia axis, guaranteeing direct access to quality products.
Briceño indicated that 151 distribution points were activated throughout the country this weekend to ensure the supply of seafood.
In Caracas, the 22 parishes that make up the capital city also benefited from the sale of fresh and inexpensive fish.
According to the Ministry of the Popular Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture, protein was quickly sold out everywhere in the capital, evidencing the high demand and acceptance of the people of Caracas.
