The post-seismic recovery work carried out by the Venezuela Renace plan in the Chacao municipality of the Miranda state has been extended to the Cataluña, Marvin and Taurisano residences, located on Avenida Sur of the Altamira residential complex.

According to the newspaper Última Noticias, Jacqueline Faria, president of the government program, reported this Saturday that steps are being taken at a steady pace in efforts in Altamira, where materials and supplies were distributed for the repair and reconstruction of infrastructures affected by the double earthquake.

Work on the three buildings began this week. “Behind every affected home in the Chacao municipality there are not only walls and structures; there are stories of life, years of effort and a hope that never gives up,” he said.

The Venezuela Renace teams are also carrying out work in the Marco Aurelio, Don Camilo, San Miguel and Paramaconi buildings, where they have been deployed since previous weeks.

The government plan teams are also carrying out the rehabilitation of two buildings in the 28 de Julio urban area, located on San Martín Avenue in the San Juan parish, in Caracas.

Faria inspected the progress of the works covering 192 apartments, thus benefiting 157 families in the community. “We work around the clock so that very soon they can return to their homes and regain the peace of mind of having a safe place to live,” he said.

He said that the inhabitants of 28 de Julio are in the facilities of the Republic of Ecuador transitional camp and in solidarity shelters.
