The VI Southern Biennial, “Peoples in Resistance”, is keeping its doors open to the public in the spaces of the Museum of Fine Arts (MBA) and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies Rómulo Gallegos (CELARG) until next Saturday, February 14, 2026.

This was announced by the Biennial through his account on the social network Instagram, in which he indicated that the exhibition brings together the work of some 150 artists from various sister nations, including exhibitions by creators from Russia, China, India and Brazil, who like Venezuela challenge global power through creation.

The activities of the biennial include anti-imperialist days through the visual arts, with workshops, forums, debates and other parallel activities, aimed at strengthening peace and cultural sovereignty, the organizers said.

The exhibition has established itself as a space for the expression of the diversity of historical and contemporary struggles, with works displayed both in museum venues and in community spaces in Caracas, reaffirming a commitment to broad cultural integration.

Admission to the Southern Biennial is free and the program runs continuously until its closing in February, with the aim of bringing contemporary art closer to the general public and promoting collective reflection through different visual manifestations.
