This Wednesday, the working class and community organizations mobilized to demand the release of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro and the first lady Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped during the military operation carried out by the United States on January 3.

Marta Ibañez, an oil worker, said that in Venezuela there is a peaceful people who are asking for the return of the president and the first lady.

“We are a people of peace who know that they are on the right side of history but make no mistake because we are sons and daughters of those who made most of South America independent: You are not going to intimidate us Trump we are on the street,” said Ibanez.

For his part, Carlos Rivas, a public sector worker, supported the functions of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez.

“You are not alone Delcy, your leadership has made it possible to maintain the institutional functioning and continuity of the Bolivarian Revolution,” she said.

Rosa Delgado, union representative, highlighted the commitment of the productive sector to the country's development. “There is the necessary conscience and political loyalty to support economic activity at this difficult time,” he said.

Luis Martínez, a member of a social collective, stressed that unity is a central element in strengthening the Bolivarian Revolution. “The coordination of all sectors is essential to face the situation and call for the release of Cilita and Maduro.”
