As part of the actions promoted by the Great Mission Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, students from the Pedro Centeno Vallenilla Educational Unit participated in the Scientific Route of the Teaching Center for Science Teaching, Anzoátegui nucleus.
The activities, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), are aimed at strengthening the interest of children and young people in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) through practical and participatory experiences.
During the interactive tour of the different seasons, the students built their learning through observation, practice and scientific curiosity.
The areas explored were electrolysis through the transformation of substances using electrical current. The facilitators illustrated to those present the assembly of series and parallel circuits by observing the operation and distribution of electricity.
In addition, through the branches of physics, they demonstrated the understanding of phenomena related to energy, motion and matter.
In the station referring to the anatomy of the human body, students explored structures and functions essential to life. Finally, they explored educational robotics through the Ultimate Kit 2.0.
Through the scientific routes of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program, the development of young talent and the social appropriation of scientific knowledge are promoted.
