They issue a joint statement on dialogue between the Government of Colombia and ELN

This Monday, the representative of the National Liberation Army (ELN), Violeta Arango and the representative of the Colombian government delegation, Horacio Guerrero, read joint communiqué number 24.

The spokespersons expressed their gratitude to the government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros for being the guarantor of the Dialogue Table for Peace, as well as the help, support and cooperation of the countries.

On the other hand, in the statement they reject the action carried out by the government of Daniel Noboa against the embassy of the United States of Mexico, in this regard, they send full solidarity to the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The representatives condemned the assassination of the social leader, Narciso Beleño last Sunday in the municipality of Santa Rosa del Sur, Bolívar.

Beleño was president of the Agromining Federation of Southern Bolivar (FEDEAGROMISBOL), the crime occurred in the El Recreo neighborhood, an urban area of the municipality. The killers shot him four times and in this regard he died immediately.

Likewise, the government of Gustavo Petro and the ELN announced that they will meet again in Caracas between May 20 and 25 to continue their dialogue process.
