They request in Argentina the initiation of impeachment proceedings against Milei

Last Monday, human rights activists, academics and jurists presented a text to the Chamber of Deputies of the Congress of Argentina, in which they request the initiation of impeachment proceedings against President Javier Milei.

The group of signatories to the document include the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, former ambassador Alicia Castro, member of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Founding Line Taty Almeida, political scientist Atilio Borón, former judge Carlos Rozanski and constitutionalist Eduardo Barcesat.

The lawsuit urges that President Milei be investigated for his apparent responsibility in inciting the population to commit apology for crime and incitement to commit financial crimes, possibly affecting the division of powers, advocacy of crime, embezzlement of public resources and poor performance due to reduced funding for education.
