This Wednesday National Film Day will be celebrated with activities across the country

With some 150 activities that will include screenings, talks, workshops and days of reflection, the anniversary of national cinema will be celebrated this Wednesday, January 28, throughout the country.
This was reported by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture through a press release stating that in Caracas activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a tribute to Venezuelan director Donald Myerston, in the National Cinematheque room located in the Museum of Fine Arts. At this event, the documentary Renewal (1969), directed by Donald Myerston and Fernando Toro, will be screened.
At 2:00 p.m., in that same space, the documentary The Dream Workshop: A Conversation with Armando Arce, by Brayan Olmedo, will be released. At 4:00 p.m. at the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies Rómulo Gallegos (CELARG), a central event will take place with the presence of the filmmakers, as well as with the authorities of the Film Platform. The film Nicolás, from Yare to Miraflores, by director Greizon Chacón, will be screened, accompanied by the technical and artistic team.
The activities in the interior of the country will take place in the states of Zulia, Amazonas, Aragua, Barinas, Bolívar, Carabobo, Delta Amacuro, Lara, Nueva Esparta, Sucre, Trujillo and Yaracuy. The biographical film of President Nicolás Maduro will also be in unconventional spaces in the states of Apure, Barinas, Bolívar, Carabobo, Cojedes, Delta Amacuro, Guárico, Portuguesa, Sucre, Táchira and Trujillo.
