Thousands protest in Madrid against Díaz Ayuso's health policy

This Sunday, thousands of people marched in Madrid, Spain, from the headquarters of the Ministry of Health to the emblematic Puerta del Sol, to protest against the health policy of the autonomous government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
Health professionals, patients and citizens gathered with banners reading “Healthcare is not sold, healthcare is defended”, while shouting “Poor healthcare , either you have a checkbook or you go to the other neighborhood”.
The demonstrators called for more investment of resources in healthcare, a halt to the privatization of health services, the strengthening of primary care, a reduction in surgical waiting lists and diagnostic tests, and an increase in the mental health network.
