Tiro Nacional seeks places for the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción

The national shooting team arrived in Paraguay, Asunción, with the purpose of participating in the 1st Junior Rifle and Pistol Championship of the Americas 2025, qualifying for the Junior Pan American Games.

The team is made up of 8 athletes: Douglas Gómez, Alessandro Vassalotti, Santiago Niño, Nicole Saavedra, Armando Villegas, Mírela Herman, Anasolis Rodríguez and Diomaris Toro, who trained before this event, which is scheduled to take place from February 27 to March 6 of this year.

“We came with everything for this championship; the goal is to reach the places for the Pan American Games,” said champion Douglas Gómez. On his side, coach Orlando Ramos explained that the Criollos are fully prepared in both modalities, rifles and pistols.

“Our athletes have a lot of experience in this circuit; we did a pre-preparation phase where each one of them was able to clear up doubts, insecurities and prepare to achieve the fundamental objective, which is a place for the junior games.”
