The Together for Every Heartbeat Movement in the health sector rejects and denounces the threats of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump,

Through a statement, published by the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez on her Telegram channel, the movement made up of personnel from the Venezuelan National Public Health System firmly and profoundly rejected the statements made by Donald Trump.

“In a clear political aggression and military threat against our homeland, Trump has launched a direct attack on the health of millions of Venezuelans who, faced with coercive and unilateral measures, have made solidarity and resistance a path of dignity,” said the Minister.

It also categorically rejected the illegitimate designation of our government as a “foreign terrorist organization”, as well as false statements about the use of domestic resources for purposes other than the integral development of the nation.

“We will continue to defend our right to peace, to self-determination and to build our own destiny. Venezuela is a peaceful, sovereign and legitimate country, whose institutionality emanates from the popular will expressed in democratic and transparent processes,” Gutiérrez emphasized.

Together for Every Heartbeat Movement of the health sector rejects and denounces Trump's threats, Together for Every Heartbeat as a movement in the health sector, doctors, nurses, administrative staff, workers, health committees, health promoters who work tirelessly every day with love, passion and kindness as a large troop of the National Public Health System, which guarantees care from every health facility, every outpatient clinic, public office, diagnostic center comprehensive, rehabilitation rooms, each hospital; we reject with firmness and deep patriotic sentiment, the statements issued by Donald Trump.

His words not only constitute a political and military aggression against our homeland, but also a direct attack on the health of millions of Venezuelans who have made solidarity and resistance a path of dignity; such measures would have devastating human consequences, directly affecting access to medicines, medical supplies and essential services for the population, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and human rights, aggravating living conditions and violating the right to health.

The Together for Every Heartbeat movement supports the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS) of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, to fulfill its constitutional mandate to guarantee the health and integral well-being of our people. We express our deep concern at recent statements containing serious accusations and threats against the sovereignty, peace and stability of our nation.

Venezuela is a peaceful, sovereign and legitimate country, whose institutionality emanates from the popular will expressed in democratic and transparent processes. The unfounded accusations about alleged illegal activities are devoid of any evidence and are part of a media and political campaign aimed at justifying interventionist actions against our homeland. We categorically reject the illegitimate designation of our government as a “foreign terrorist organization”, as well as false statements about the use of domestic resources for purposes other than the integral development of the nation.

Today we affirm that every public office, every vaccination day, every prevention program is a political act of defense of life. It is the strongest response to those who want to see us subjugated: while they lift blockades, we build organized communities; while they talk about war, we talk about health; while they sow hatred, we sow solidarity.

Our country has repeatedly demonstrated its willingness to respectful dialogue and international cooperation, in strict adherence to the principles of non-intervention, self-determination of peoples and mutual respect between states. Sovereignty over our natural resources, including oil and land, is inalienable and non-transferable, and any claim to the contrary is an affront to international legality and to our people's history of struggle.

In that regard, the Ministry of People's Power for Health, unites as the National Public Health System, reiterates its commitment to the health and life of all Venezuelans, alerts the international community to the serious humanitarian consequences that any aggressive escalation against Venezuela would have. We urge multilateral organizations to speak out against any coercive measure that jeopardizes public health and the well-being of the population.

Venezuela will continue to defend its right to peace, to self-determination and to build its own destiny, in the full exercise of its sovereignty and for the benefit of its people.

Health is a right, peace is the way! Sovereign, anti-imperialist and socialist Venezuela!
