As part of the actions in the area of public services carried out by the Water Directorate of the Tomás Lander Mayor's Office and in joint work with the Hydrological Department of the Capital Region (HIDROCAPITAL) , a drinking water pipe was carried out on the Ocumare-Charallave Highway, at the height of the Lomas de La Guadalupe urban planning, in the state of Miranda.
Regarding the repair, Mayor Dayana Báez reported that the work consisted of replacing 18 meters of 8-inch galvanized iron pipe.
In addition, a distribution valve of the same diameter was maintained and repaired.
The works were carried out by crews from HIDROCAPITAL, the Government of Miranda and the Mayor's Office, who worked continuously to repair the fault in the main tube.
Báez stressed that this intervention is essential to optimize supply to the lower areas of the town. “These actions improve the pressure and regularity of service in communities that have historically experienced difficulties,” he said.
Among the beneficiary sectors are El Rodeo, Puente Viejo, El Calvario, La Acequia, La Veraniega, Lomas de La Guadalupe, Casa de Tejas and Ciudad Betania I.
The mayor assured that inspections of the water network will continue to prevent future leaks in the road artery.
