The Tomás Lander municipality of Miranda state is progressing steadily in the consolidation of participatory democracy through the various Popular Consultations promoted by the Bolivarian Government, as stated by the entity's mayor, Dayana Báez.

In an interview with the program “Café in the Morning”, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), he emphasized that the municipality currently has 40 communal circuits that directly impact the same number of communes where various projects are being promoted to improve the quality of life.

“Our people are in a dynamic of participation and permanent leadership. This consultation is a fundamental tool for Popular Power to provide answers and transform their communities,” he said.

He also explained that this initiative of the Bolivarian Government allows citizens to appropriate technical and political tools to exercise efficient governance. In this regard, he stressed that the dynamic includes continuous training processes for community members.

“It's about giving our people tools to make the most of resources,” said Báez, after noting that thanks to the popular consultations that were carried out previously, the laboratory of the General Hospital of Los Valles del Tuy was recovered.

Finally, he called on all the inhabitants of the state of Miranda to participate in the next National Popular Consultation to be held on March 8 to strengthen the exercise of participatory and leading democracy throughout the national territory.
