Tonight boxer Carlos Cañizales seeks to become world champion

This Friday, August 1, the Caracas Polyhedron will be the scene of an international boxing event led by the fight between the Venezuelan Carlos “CCC” Cañizales and the Thai Panya Pradabsri, for the world mini-fly title of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

The event marks the official rematch after the controversial decision in their first confrontation in Thailand last December.

Cañizales, former world champion, said he was ready to regain his belt and give victory to Venezuela. Pradabmari, for his part, said that he will show his evolution from the first meeting and was excited to fight on Venezuelan soil.

The lineup will also include the professional debut of former MMA fighter Omar Morales, who will face Joshua Pirela, as well as fights for regional titles such as Feconsur between Luis Pacheco and Alessangel Mayora.
