The tourism sector in the Capital District is receiving a significant boost thanks to a strategic alliance between the Mutual Guarantee Society for Small and Medium Enterprises in the Tourism Sector (Sogatur), attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism, and the National Credit Bank (BNC). These institutions held a workshop, called “Grow as an Entrepreneur Training Program”, in which more than 80 entrepreneurs and members of the Municipal Tourism Institute of Caracas participated. This initiative demonstrates the bank's commitment to developing local talent.

During the day, small entrepreneurs received essential training in key areas such as finance and marketing. Additionally, the BNC offered comprehensive advice for opening accounts, acquiring points of sale and legal guidance adapted to their needs. For their part, SOGATUR officials provided key tools for the formalization and growth of each business.

In this regard, Ornella Cecchini, Vice President of Business, Banking and Entrepreneurship at the BNC, stressed the importance of banking; “separating personal accounts from business accounts provides seriousness to suppliers and customers, and facilitates access to bank loans that boost entrepreneurship.” While the entrepreneur Emilio Matos said; “today we learned about everything related to the formation of our businesses. Only in revolution can we move forward with our undertakings.”

These activities, promoted by Minister Leticia Gómez, reaffirm the objective of strengthening local entrepreneurship to promote inclusive and sustainable tourism, a key element for the national economy. The training complies with the strategic lines promoted by President Nicolás Maduro in the Homeland Plan, where tourism plays a fundamental role as a transversal engine for the country's development.
