This Wednesday, the Congress of the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic (which shares borders with Moldova and Ukraine) approved a resolution in which it asks Russia to “implement measures to protect Transnistria in the context of increasing pressure from Moldova”, which considers the self-proclaimed republic part of its territory.
This resolution states that the decision taken by the Congress views Russia in a positive way to carry out the mission of maintaining “peace in the Dniester, as well as the status of guarantor and mediator in the negotiation process”.
