With the purpose of optimizing mobility in Caracas, the transportation and electric energy sector formalized a strategic alliance to strengthen the Caracas Metro service, according to information published on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation.

This institutional integration will facilitate the execution of major infrastructure works, in addition to the activation of immediate response protocols that guarantee a safer and more efficient transfer for users.

“Through this joint effort, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to providing a reliable and timely public transportation system for the well-being of the thousands of passengers who commute daily,” the publication highlights.

For her part, in the published video, the Minister of Transport, Jacqueline Faria, specified that during the meeting held with CORPOELEC and the Metro team, parameters were established to complement the technical work.

“More than 450,000 people move daily in the Caracas Metro. This happens thanks to the electric service and the commitment of workers. Our sector vice president has brought us together here so that this service is expensive and we are interpenetrated teams, working together to provide the reliable, safe and timely service that our people require,” he said.

In addition, the Vice President of Services, Juan José Ramírez, said that it was possible to establish “a work schedule to serve several Metro stations that require equipment replacements and major tasks, in order to increase electrical capacity and improve service.”

He specified that a special protocol was established to ensure effective communication between CORPOELEC and the underground system operations center.
