Transport authorities evaluate the current situation of mobility systems

A meeting was held between the Minister of People's Power for Transport, Francisco Garcés, the Deputy Minister of Land Transport, Paola Artahona, and the presidents of the entities with an impact on road matters, as part of the coordination actions for the revival of management, under the premise of efficiency and transparency.
During the meeting held at the ministerial headquarters, the presidents of the entities in the field of land transport presented the current situation of these systems and the plans to increase capacities and efficiency in the service.
Present at the meeting were the director of the State Railways Institute (IFE), Claudio Farías; the director of the Caracas Metro and Los Teques Metro, Yoel Amaya; the director of the Maracaibo Metro, Dirwings Arrieta; the director of the Valencia Metro, Yolyemil Rodríguez; and the director of Metrobús Venezuela and SITSSA, Wilian Peña .
In turn, representatives of the entities responsible for the financing and maintenance of land transport units in their various modalities participated. Among them was the president of the National Urban Transport Fund (Fontur), Mirla Castellanos, as well as the presidents of Yutong Venezuela, Luis Rodríguez, and of the National Corporation for Logistics and Freight Transport (Corpologistics), Julio Morales.
The representatives of Fontur, Yutong and Corpologística gave a brief explanation of the advances made to date and highlighted the importance of increasing operational capacity to achieve modernization.
In addition, in the area of national road maintenance and development, there were the presidents of the Road Maintenance Company (ENVIAL), Luis Noriega; of the Autonomous Agricultural Road Service, Jonathan Millán; and of the Company for Latin American Railway Infrastructure, S.A. (Ferrolasa), Jesús Rojas.
These spokespersons highlighted the importance of accelerating work in order to provide safe and quality roads throughout the national territory, as a fundamental axis for strengthening economic development plans.
The president of the Workers Union of the Compañía Anónima Metro de Caracas (Sitrameca), Edison Alvarado, also participated, representing the working class.
