Trujillo: Plan Cayapa Heroica benefited more than 18,000 people

The Cayapa Heroic National Plan, through the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) in the state of Trujillo, during the year 2025 favored more than 18,300 inhabitants in the diagnosis and recovery of medical, refrigeration and computer equipment, prioritizing repair over replacement.

The work of the brigade members allowed the reactivation of thousands of essential equipment in hospitals and institutions in the Andean region, improving the technological health infrastructure in the country.

The Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology highlighted that thanks to technical intervention, with an efficient and sustainable approach, more than 30 public institutions were served in the municipalities of Boconó, Escuque, Valera, Pampanito and Trujillo.

The deployments were carried out in different schools, high schools, hospitals, medical offices, Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers, Infocenters, Bolivarian IT and Telematics Centers and especially the Popular Self-Government Rooms.

In relation to the growth and specialization of the Cayapa Heroic National Plan, the technical brigade was strengthened by specialized personnel, going from four to 12 active brigade members.

In addition, more than six brigade members were trained through the Sigma platform, reaching the expert level (Module X).
