TRUJILLO — VALERA/Nicolás Maduro highlights the strength of the Trujillanos in Venezuela's historic struggle

The candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB), Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday the strength of the Trujillo people, who have been key in history to achieving and maintaining the independence of the Fatherland.

“The entire independence and historical struggle of Venezuela has a brand, it has a strength and that force is you Trujillanos and Trujillanas, the strength of a warrior people, of a people that has fought tirelessly for peace and independence, the people of Antonio Nicolás Briceño and Cristóbal Mendoza,” said the revolutionary leader during a massive rally in Valera.

In this regard, he highlighted the commitment made to transfer the remains of Cristóbal Mendoza to the National Pantheon. “I promised and kept it. I did justice to the story, we took Cristóbal Mendoza to Bolívar's side in the Pantheon of National Heroes, the first president of Venezuela, Trujillano,” he recalled.
