Trump announced that he will meet with Putin after his inauguration

The elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, reported that after taking his position he will meet with the head of state of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

“I know he wants to meet and I'm going to meet him very quickly. I would have done it before, but... you have to get to the office. For some things, you have to be there,” Trump said.

For his part, Congressman Mike Waltz, future US National Security Advisor, indicated last Sunday that preparations are being made for such a meeting to take place, according to a press release from Venezuela News.

“From President Trump's perspective, you can't reach an agreement if you don't have some kind of relationship and dialogue with the other party and we will absolutely establish that in the coming months,” Waltz said.
