The president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, indicated that by taking power this Monday he would grant the reactivation of the TikTok platform.

Trump announced that he plans to issue an executive order to give TikTok more time to find a buyer, according to a press release from Fuser.

“I would like the United States to have a 50% ownership position in a joint venture,” Trump added in his social media message hours after posting “Save TikTok” on the social network Truth Social.

In a statement, the TikTok platform, owned by the company ByteDance, thanked the tycoon for the announcement.

“According to our service providers, TikTok is in the process of restoring the service,” says part of the statement.
