This Sunday, August 24, local media reported that the highest Bolivian electoral authority plans to issue on Wednesday, August 27, the official call for the second round of general elections in the Andean country between candidates Rodrigo Paz, of the Christian Democratic Party (PDC), and Jorge Quiroga, of the Free Alliance, both supporters with right-wing agendas.

The member of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), Francisco Vargas, announced that this Tuesday, August 26, the Plenary Chamber will meet to announce the total and final results of the general elections of last August 17.

For the coming Monday, the 25th, the Plurinational Electoral Body (EPO) is expected to consolidate the official calculation that will be presented at the session, Telesur said.

Member Gustavo Ávila told the media that the October 19 ballot will be based on an electoral calendar, which includes activities such as pre-election propaganda, the drawing of jurors and two debates for presidents and vice-presidents, with dates to be defined well in advance.
