TSJ turns on violet light at its headquarters for the eradication of violence against women

Authorities of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) turned on the Violet Light on the façade of their headquarters, as a symbol of their commitment to eradicate violence against women, in connection with the commemorative activities of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

“This lighting is dedicated to all Venezuelan women who, day by day, show courage and patriotic pride to face not only the physical violence that could be generated, but also the violence of empires that want to defeat us,” said President-Magistrate Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez Rodríguez. The official added that “we have stood up, upright, courageous and victorious.”

For her part, the vice-president of the Constitutional Chamber and coordinator of the National Commission for Gender Justice of the Judiciary, Judge Lourdes Benicia Suárez Anderson, highlighted that the Violet Month begins, which represents the fight against violence against women, says a press release.
