With the objective of establishing a position in support of President Nicolás Maduro, the Tupamaro Revolutionary Movement held a press conference from “La Yaya”, his party's house, located in Northern California in the Bolivarian state of Miranda.
Williams Benavides, national secretary general of the said Movement, accompanied by his Expanded National Directorate, one of its highest decision-making bodies, stressed that “we are meeting to make decisions that will guarantee the progress and growth of the organization, as well as the peace of the Venezuelan people.”
Benavides also highlighted that “we will defend Peace in the streets”, referring to the recent violent acts, generated by the extreme right, after ignoring the electoral results in the presidential elections of July 28, as well as the sixth-generation war unleashed by social networks to generate despair, hatred and violence in the population.
The national leader stated that the Tupamaro Revolutionary Movement is also producing, cultivating in the conucos, doing community work, student work, in factories, among other spaces that allow U.S. sanctions to have no effect and are defeated whenever they try to hit the stability of the people.
Finally, he assured that this Saturday, August 17, they will be marching in the streets of Caracas with joy and with the participation of the Popular Movement in support of President Nicolás Maduro, as well as against the aggressions of the people because the expression of hatred that fascism has against the people will be defeated in the streets with conscience.
