Türkiye prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu for genocide

The Attorney General's Office of Türkiye issued an arrest warrant for the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and other senior officials of his Government, accused of genocide and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

The official statement specifies that arrest warrants have been issued against 37 people, including Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, for alleged crimes of genocide and crimes against humanity.

The measure is part of the investigations opened by the Turkish authorities into Israeli military operations in Gaza.

So far, no concrete measures have been reported to execute orders outside Turkish territory.

The decision is in addition to international statements questioning the use of force in the Palestinian enclave.
