Türkiye rejects act of banditry and gives its support to the Venezuelan people and President Maduro

The Government of Türkiye expressed its strong support for the Venezuelan people and for the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, after a United States air strike against the Latin American nation.

“Türkiye is on the side of Venezuela and its president Nicolás Maduro, in the face of US aggression against the country,” said Cemil Ertem, the chief advisor to the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, through a post on his X account.

He also denounced that the imperial piracy carried out by the North American government, together with the murderous Israel, is now being continued by attacking Venezuela, “This banditry must not go unpunished!” , he said.

The United States carried out an air strike against the city of Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira, an act that constitutes a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations, especially its articles 1 and 2, which enshrine respect for sovereignty, the legal equality of States and the prohibition of the use of force.
