Türkiye: Thousands of people marched in Istanbul for Palestine

Last Wednesday, thousands of people gathered at the Galata Bridge in Istanbul, the capital of Türkiye, to express their massive support for the people of Palestine, to denounce the genocide in Palestine perpetrated by the Israeli army, and to demand an end to Israeli military operations.

The demonstration was organized by the National Will Platform, who marched from mosques across the historic peninsula.

Several ministers and senior officials of the Executive participated in the march. The year 2025 began with violence in the Gaza Strip, where an Israeli bombardment left at least 15 dead and many injured.

The demonstrators displayed a huge Palestinian flag and a Turkish flag in the middle lane of the bridge, along with the words, in Turkish and English, “Stop the genocide in Gaza”, but numerous religious slogans were also heard.
